The Town is saddened to announce the loss of three former members of the Baie-D'Urfé Town Council this year.
Lionel Groome - Council member from 1970 to 1982, passed away on February 27
Arthur Shama - Council member from 1977 to 1982, passed away on June 15
Michel Beauchamp - Council member from 2013 to 2019, passed away on June 27
All members of the Council and the Administration would like to offer their sincere condolences to their families and loved ones.
Limited Reopening and New Safety Measures of the Town Library

The library will be accessible to the public again in a limited capacity starting Monday, July 6th. Our hours of operation will be reduced until further notice and we will be open Monday to Friday from 2:30 to 5:00, and Wednesday evening from 7:00 to 9:00. For safety reasons, the doors to the Whiteside Taylor Centre will remain locked, but you will be able to enter the building during opening hours by using our new library specific door bell.
Dismantling of signs and posters on the Baie-D’Urfé Territory

We wish to thank all of our citizens who brightened up the grounds of Baie-D'Urfé with rainbows and solidarity messages during Covid time. But the time has come to remove these signs. Therefore, they will be dismantled throughout the territory on Friday 10 July. Those who wish to remove them prior to this date can do so, otherwise they will be stored at the Public Works building for one week until July 17 where you can come and pick them up. We keep memories of solidarity, resilience and exceptional mutual help from our entire community...
JULY 4 - Hazardous Wastes Collection and Electronics

Due to the current situation, please note that the Electronic Waste Collection will exceptionally be combined with the Hazardous Waste Collection on July 4 at Public Works from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.
Certain measures concerning these Collections has been put in place. Please refer to both WASTE COLLECTIONS section under the Household Hazardous tab for all details.

Extreme Heat Wave - Measures announced by the Town

During this heat wave that is blended with increasing humidity announced by Environment Canada, citizens of Baie-D'Urfé who wish to cool off will be able to do so at the Curling Club as of Friday June 19, from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. On Saturday June 20 and Sunday June 21 from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Please note that if the heat wave persists in the beginning of next week, the Club will be more than happy to welcome citizens at these same hours...

This table is intended for contractors and has slight modifications that are adressed to residents.
Closure of the Primary Aqueduct Network - June 9 to 12

The City of Montreal's Water Supply Department will proceed to a temporary closure of the primary distribution system. Please note that there will be 15 PSI drops in pressure in some areas of the Town. Pressure will return to normal just after the reopening of the aqueduct conduct.
