Garage sale
NO CERTIFICATE REQUIRED
Garage sales are authorized throughout the residential zone, under the following conditions:
- There cannot be more than one garage sale per dwelling per year
- The sale must be conducted by the occupant of the dwelling
- The sale must be held during a weekend, cannot last more than two days and must end by 5:00 p.m. Sunday
- Small signs are tolerated on the day of the sale on condition of their removal Sunday before 5:00 p.m.
- Clients’ automobiles may not be parked in front of the garage driveways of neighbors and must be parked on one side of the street so as not to block normal traffic in the street
We suggest you consult the recommendations of Health Canada with regard to products sold at garage sales.
