Biodiversity

It is often believed that feeding wildlife is a good gesture to help them survive while allowing a close contact with the animal. In fact, feeding wild animals will do more harm than good as it can change their behaviour and create perverted and negative effects with long-term consequences. It is imperative not to feed them as it can harm not only their health but also the environment and our green spaces.

Article 22 and 25 of By-law No. 1063 Concerning Animals
"It is forbidden for anyone to feed, keep, or otherwise attract pigeons, squirrels, raccoons, or any other wild animals within the boundaries of the Town."

"It is forbidden for anyone to feed ducks, gulls or geese on the shores of Lac Saint-Louis."
