- Residential Adaptation Assistance Program
Residential Adaptation Assistance Program
If you have a disability and your participation in everyday activities in your home is limited, you may be eligible for the Residential Adaptation Assistance Program.
The program grants financial assistance to homeowners for eligible work to adapt a dwelling to meet the disabled person’s needs. The work must provide simple and economic solutions.
Participating in the Program
To participate in the program, complete the disabled persons section of the application form and ask your landlord to complete the landlords section and then send the form to the Société d'habitation du Québec along with the required supporting documents.
Tenants
Before you register for the Residential Adaptation Assistance Program, ask your landlord for permission to carry out the work, as any alterations that are made will become an integral part of the landlord’s building.
