Light pollution
Humans and nature are more affected by light pollution than we realize. In 2017, the Town of Baie-D'Urfé opted for the modernization of its street lighting network by converting 782 lights to light-emitting diode (LED) technology and controlled by an intelligent management system.
In addition to offering improved and optimal lighting for the safety of all users of our roadways, LEL technology is also recognized as being energy efficient. The Town's electricity bill will be reduced by 75% over the years. Note that LED technology offers directional lighting to help reduce light pollution.
Furthemore, the intelligent control system allows us to manage all of our lights remotely and in real time.
