Community Centres

Baie-D'Urfé stands out for its incomparable sense of community. Many residents work daily to organize various social, cultural and musical activities to which we strongly encourage you to participate. No matter the season, you will find activities that suit your tastes and interests. For your convenience, free access to WI-FI is now available at the Fritz Community Centre and the Red Barn. 

The Fritz Community Centre is surrounded by a large park in which you can find a bandstand. During the summer season, the Town of Baie-D'Urfé offers a musical program at the bandstand for the great enjoyment of all. The activities take place in the Town’s parks and municipal buildings. Indeed, a flexible and affordable rental policy allows residents and organizations to take advantage of both, the Fritz Community Centre and Red Barn to organize their events.

Summer Concerts

During the summer season, the bandstand is a privileged place for all music lovers. In the evening from June to August, the bandstand welcomes local bands of a diverse and eclectic mix of musical styles for the great enjoyment of all. Enjoying music by the shore, what a delight! In the event of rain, concerts are held at the Red Barn, 20 609, Lakeshore Road.

Fritz Community Centre

Not only is the Fritz Community Centre an iconic and historic landmark in the Town, but its location also provides a breathtaking view of Fritz Memorial Park and Lake St. Louis.

The Town of Baie-D'Urfé welcomes both residents and non-residents alike to consider the Fritz Community Centre for their celebrations. It is one of the West Island's premier facilities for hosting weddings in a classic ambiance. Our waterfront location and landscaped gardens offer the opportunity to host your wedding ceremony, picture taking and reception on site. The Fritz Community Centre also provides an excellent venue for corporate meetings, graduation balls and filming.

Red Barn

The Red Barn, located near the tennis courts, outdoor pool and the Town's Curling Club, is a gathering place and recreational facility for residents of all ages.

The Red Barn has been at the center of our town’s youth and community events and a meeting place for the Scouts and Girl Guides of Canada for over 40 years. Weekday groups that meet at the facility include Vie Active, Tai Chi, Yoga, Quickstep and line dancing, as well as the watercolour painter’s group and the bi-weekly Art appreciation group. The Baie D'Urfé Languages Group and the Runners Club also have weekly meetings at the facility.


The Red Barn can also be rented, subject to availability, as a space for children's birthday parties on Saturdays and Sundays to both residents and non-residents.
