Septic Tanks on the Baie-D’Urfé territory

We wish to advise you that Sanivac has been contractually mandated by the Town to clean and/or empty the septic tanks on our territory. This decision comes into effect, August 12, 2020. All details in the Septic Tanks section of our Citizen Services tab.
Pumptrack installation

Dear citizens, we are happy to announce that the new Pumptrack will begin installation tomorrow, August 11, at the Morgan Park (location to be tested).
Security rules will be imposed for utilization of this Pumptrack with proper signage on site.
Further communications will be sent out once the installation is ready to welcome our residents.
Delivery of wood chips canceled due to Covid

Dear citizens, as the delivery of wood chips cannot be done this year due to the current situation, we are offering you the possibility to pick up your necessary supply in the parking lot of the Public Works building as of Thursday, August 6. Remember to bring shovels and bags and respect social distancing at all times.
Implementation Plan decision for the new Childcare Center

Dear citizens, following the Public consultation of July 16, we invite you to submit your comments by email at: communications@baie-durfe.qc.ca in order to choose the implementation plan of the new Childcare Center that you prefer. You will have until July 30 to make your decision. Do not hesitate to consult new informations, plans and visual presentations that have been added recently to the Development projects section of the TOWN tab in order to give you a better idea.

Pumptrack Trial Installation

The recently purchased Pumptrack will be installed on a trial basis at the Morgan Park following the Construction Holiday period. This installation will give the Town the opportunity to observe all facets of how the equipment is used and to determine what issues, if any, need to be addressed before a permanent installation is made. We will let you know of the exact date of installation in time.

Repair Works - Baie-D’Urfé Train station

Please note that on Wednesday July 15, construction works will be made at the pedestrian crossing of the B-D train station. This will not impact on the train schedule nor will it imply any detour for the users. Signalers will be put in place to secure the perimeter.
Water Sampling campaign on the Baie-D’Urfé territory

On August 17 and 18, the City of Montreal's Water Department will conduct its yearly water sampling campaign in order to measure the presence or not of lead and copper in tap water. A pre-established list of residences (constructed before 1970) elegible for sampling will be provided to the City of Montreal. They will contact 5 homeowners from this list to make an appointment...
Closure of the City of Montreal’s Water Supply

From July 14 to July 16, 2020, the City of Montreal's Water Supply Department will proceed to a testing of the primary distribution system in anticipation of some improvements on their water system. Note that in certain sectors of the Town, this intervention will cause pressure drops of around 15 PSI. Pressures will be restored immediately after the water line is returned to service.
