Horticultural Alert – Increased Monitoring for Fire Blight on Fruit Trees

The Town wishes to inform residents that a case of fire blight (Erwinia amylovora) has been observed on pear trees within municipal territory. This highly contagious bacterial disease mainly affects apple trees, pear trees, hawthorns, and other members of the Rosaceae family.

Drone Activity in Baie-D’Urfé

An authorized drone has recently been flying over Baie-D’Urfé as part of a project commissioned by the Town. The aerial images and videos collected will be used to highlight our parks, waterfront, and community spaces, and to support future planning and communications initiatives.
Drinking water sampling and analysis campaign by City of Montreal 2025

The City of Montreal will carry out its annual sampling campaign aimed at measuring the presence of lead and copper in tap water, under the Regulation respecting the quality of drinking water. The results of this annual sampling are required by the Ministère de l'Environnement, de la Lutte contre les changements climatiques, de la Faune et des Parcs (MELCCFP).
Public Pool Open to Residents During the Heat Wave

Due to the exceptional heat this week, the public swimming pool, located at 20613 Lakeshore Road, will be open for recreational swim from 14:00 to 21:00 (2:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.), from today, Tuesday, July 15, until Thursday, July 17.
Stormwater Outfall Relocation Work — Place Wilson

The Town of Baie-D’Urfé has awarded a contract to Transport JR Cyr et Fils Inc. to relocate the Place Wilson stormwater outfall.
Work will begin on Monday, July 14, 2025, for an estimated duration of 4 non-consecutive weeks.
Hydro-Québec Work on Morgan Street

Work will take place on Morgan Street, between Westchester and Lakeshore, from July 14 to 17, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
No-parking signs will be posted and one lane will be obstructed.
Reopening of Pine Street
