Prohibited Use of Pesticides

The Town of Baie-D'Urfé would like to remind its citizens that the use of pesticides is strictly prohibited on its territory. All types of pesticides (herbicides, insecticides, fungicides, etc.), whether they are specialized products or sold in stores, are prohibited because they cause deterioration and contamination of the environment.
REMINDER – Nuisance Regulations

The Nuisance By-law regulates the use of equipment such as lawnmowers, hedge trimmers, chain saws, etc. This summer, before undertaking any work on your property or for your landscaping, we invite you to consult the schedule of use in the Most Commonly Accessed Information section of our website available below. Please note that this means, among other things, that the use of equipment causing noise nuisance is prohibited for contractors on statutory holidays, such as Quebec National Holiday and Canada Day. Residential Pools: Changes to the Provincial Regulation

Following the reinforcement of the regulation by the Quebec government, all pool owners will have to comply with the Residential Swimming Pool Safety Regulation, whether they were built before or after November 1, 2010. You will have until July 1, 2023 to comply with this regulation.
Hydro-Québec - Emerald Ash Borer

As of June 21, Hydro-Québec will proceed with the felling of ash trees that are in a state of irreversible wiltling caused by the emerald ash borer on their property in Baie-D'Urfé. The trees are located in the industrial park at 20325 Clark-Graham Avenue. A replantation plan will be proposed to replace those trees. Thank you for your comprehension.
Rehabilitation Work on the A-40 Service Road

Starting on June 14, 2021, for a period of 16 weeks, complete rehabilitation of the infrastructure will take place on 1.2 km of the service road, from the Morgan interchange to the A-40 entrance ramp located at the eastern end. The work will be done from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday to Friday, and include the replacement of 25 street lights and wiring, as well as two fire hydrants and isolation valves on the aqueduct system.
Poison Ivy

Today and tomorrow, the Town will be treating some of our parks for poison ivy. The treatment is done with hot steam, a thermal process that does not require the use of pesticides.

Île-aux-Tourtes Bridge Now Open

Recent delays in the recycling collection

There have been several delays in the collection of recycling recently. The contractor is fully responsible for these delays. The Town is currently doing everything in its power to resolve the situation as soon as possible and ensure the quality of this service.
