Sports facilities project: progress update

The Town is moving forward with its project to develop pickleball and beach volleyball courts.
Council has selected the locations for both future facilities:
- the pickleball courts will be adjacent to the existing tennis courts;
- the beach volleyball court will be built at Bertold Park.

Water main flushing and fire hydrant inspection

Please be advised that as of April 13, 2026, Simo Management inc., mandated by the Town of Baie-D’Urfé, will begin water main flushing followed by fire hydrant inspections in the residential area.
The work is expected to last approximately four weeks.
End of the Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) mobile collection

The Town would like to inform you of a change regarding Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) collection.
Following a decision by the Montreal agglomeration, the mobile HHW collection service is no longer offered.

Hydro-Québec vegetation management

Hydro-Québec is managing vegetation in Baie-D'Urfé to enhance service reliability and prevent power outages.
Technicians have been inventorying and trimming trees that could pose a risk to the power grid. We are pleased that Hydro-Québec is conducting this tree trimming work in our area to reduce the number of outages we experience.
Reforestation work – upcoming interventions

As part of its efforts to protect and enhance its natural environments, the Town will soon undertake site preparation work for a reforestation project.
Starting the week of March 23, 2026, interventions will take place in certain wooded areas, including the removal of buckthorn (an invasive species) as well as other vegetation that hinders the natural regeneration of forests. Light grading work will also be carried out to create favourable conditions for planting.
