Installing or replacing a septic tank or system or a weeping field

All work related to septic system installation or replacement require the prior issuance of a certificate. All applications must be accompanied by a soil test report done by a company competent with regard to recommendations for installation of a septic system.

Documents required for a certificate application:

  • Soils study with recommendation
  • Application form and fees

Once the septic system has been installed, the following documents must be submitted to the urban planning department to close the file:

  • Certificate of conformity (issued by the contractor who performed the work)
  • Maintenance contract (issued by advanced secondary and tertiary system)

Please note that depending on the nature and complexity of the project, the Town of Baie d'Urfé reserves the right to require any other document necessary in order to establish a better understanding of the project and ensure its compliance with all applicable regulations.
