Municipal Council
The municipal council is composed of one mayor and six councillors. In the Town of Baie-D’Urfé, council members are elected by universal suffrage, meaning that all electors directly participate in the election of the mayor and municipal councillors.
The municipal council represents the population and exercises the powers conferred upon it by law. It establishes the Town’s orientations, policies and priorities, adopts the regulations and resolutions necessary for its administration, and renders decisions on matters submitted to it. The implementation of council decisions and the day-to-day management of municipal activities fall under the responsibility of the administration.
In accordance with the Municipal Ethics and Good Conduct Act, the Town is required to make public, on its website, information relating to council members’ participation in mandatory training on ethics and professional conduct. To this end, the table below presents the dates on which training certificates were issued for each elected official.
