The nomination package includes the following documents:

• Form – Nomination Paper (SM-29)
• Running as a Candidate for Municipal Elections – Municipalities with a population of under 5,000 (DGE-1141)

Training sessions offered by Élections Québec 

To help future candidates prepare, the political financing coordination team of Élections Québec will be offering several online training sessions (via Teams) in September and October 2025.

These 1.5-hour sessions will cover:

• The role of the candidate
• Sources of financing
• Electoral expenses
• The DGE-1038 form
• What’s new for the 2025 election
