Collection of Household Hazardous Waste (HHW)

INSTRUCTIONS TO FOLLOW:
- Place your HHW in the trunk of your vehicle, and ensure that the products are well organized (no loose items), in watertight containers and separate from each other. For example, pool chlorine must absolutely be kept separate from other products;
- Proof of residence in the Greater Montréal area;
- Turn off the engine and open the trunk so that employees can take out the products;
- Any information that needs to be passed on to employees should be communicated while remaining in the vehicle. Please note that waiting times may vary, so please be patient and respect the line.
NEW IN 2025: the addition of household refrigeration and air conditioning appliance collection (GoRecycle), as well as tire collection (RECYC-QUÉBEC).

Discover the animal interactions that shape the ecosystems surrounding us in urban and suburban environments, and learn about the importance of biodiversity in maintaining these essential connections.
Led by a zoologist/educator from the Ecomuseum Zoo, this interactive presentation will feature live animals, artifacts, and engaging visual aids. You’ll gain a better understanding of how wildlife adapts to our local landscape and how we can help support a healthy natural balance in Baie-D’Urfé.
A great opportunity for residents of all ages to learn more about the wild neighbours we often overlook!
Deadline - Creative Contest

Grab your brushes, pencils, or tablets! We invite all residents to take part in a creative contest by illustrating
Baie-D’Urfé during the winter season — whether it’s an iconic spot, a beautiful landscape, or a winter scene from everyday life in the Town — using watercolours, pencil, ink, digital art, or any medium of your choice. We look forward to discovering your artistic view of our beautiful town! For inspiration, visit our Website where we will be posting visual content to help spark your creativity.
Submit your artwork by September 21, in electronic format (high-resolution scan or photo) to communications@baie-durfe.qc.ca All submissions will be showcased on the Town’s Facebook page during the week of September 22. The public will be invited to vote online. The contest will close on September 26 at noon — the artwork with the most reactions at that time will be declared the winner!
PRIZES:
- Your artwork will be featured on the Town’s official holiday cards this year.
- You will also receive a $200 gift card.
- A special mention will be posted on our social media platforms.
