WALKING TOUR
June 8 from 3 to 5 p.m.
Fritz Community Centre | Bilingual
What is that tree with the lovely perfume in the spring called? Or the one with the white flowers? Which of those “pines” are not pines? It’s fun to know the names of the trees in our gardens and parks. If you are a homeowner, it’s useful to know what kinds of trees you have to look after or might like to plant. Join forest ecologist Jim Fyles for a walk around the Fritz Community Centre to learn how to identify the many tree species we have in the area. Hone your observation skills. Take home a tree guide to help you identify the trees in your yard or on your street.
All citizens are welcome to participate in this free event. Call the Town's Environment Department at 514 457-7604 for more information.
