- Reminder – Maintenance Contract
Reminder – Maintenance Contract
Published on February 2, 2026
If you own an advanced secondary treatment system, a tertiary system (such as Hydro-Kinetic systems), or any other system requiring maintenance, you must renew your maintenance contract annually and submit a copy to the Town. This is a legal requirement under the Regulation Q-2, r. 22.
In accordance with section 3.2 of Regulation Q-2, r. 22, each property owner is responsible for maintaining their septic system. To avoid a notice of offence, it is important to submit a copy of your paid maintenance contract for the year 2026.
We strongly encourage you to plan ahead for the maintenance or replacement of your septic system. Regular maintenance remains the best way to extend the life of your system and avoid costly emergency interventions.
If you would like to obtain a copy of your septic tank pumping report, please contact us at: environnement@baie-durfe.qc.ca
