As part of the 2025 municipal elections, the Town is actively recruiting to fill essential positions for the proper conduct of the vote.
How to submit your application?
Complete, sign, and send the form (french only) to election@baie-durfe.qc.ca, or drop it off directly at Town Hall, to the attention of the Returning Officer.
Below you will find the description of the positions to be filled:
PRIMO: You support the election secretary in ensuring the smooth running of the vote. You ensure compliance with the instructions at the polling location. You also serve as the chair of the voter identity verification table.
$515 (daily)
Deputy Returning Officer: As a deputy returning officer, you hand out ballots to voters, monitor the ballot boxes, and take part in the counting of votes. You interact directly with voters. You work in collaboration with the secretary and, if necessary, report to the election secretary or to the PRIMO. You also serve as a member of the voter identity verification table established at each polling station.
$395 (daily)
Secretary: You are responsible for confirming voters’ registration on the voters list, annotating the list, and completing the required documentation. You work in collaboration with the deputy returning officer. You also serve as a member of the voter identity verification table established at each polling station.
$370 (daily)
A deputy returning officer and a secretary are specifically assigned to the mobile polling station (seniors' residences and domicile voting) (October 24, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.).
Deputy returning officer: $355 (daily)
Secretary: $330 (daily)
Substitute: Replaces, as needed, a member of the election team in one of the roles above.
