- Public Consultation - Draft Order with regard to Flood zones
Public Consultation - Draft Order with regard to Flood zones
Published on July 3, 2019
The Town of Baie-D'Urfé wishes to inform you that the Government of Québec tabled a draft order establishing a Special Planning Zone (SPZ) on June 17, 2019. All properties in Baie-D’Urfé located on the shores of Lake St-Louis are affected by this draft order. The Government decree imposes a moratorium (freeze) on the municipality regarding the issuance of any permits and certificates for such properties.
At the next Municipal Council meeting on July 9, we will adopt a resolution to the effect that the territory of the Town of Baie-D'Urfé has not been flooded in 2017 and 2019 and that we demand the withdrawal of the Town of the Special Planning Zone. We will forward this resolution to departmental officials.
The stakes are at high, so raise your voice!
