Flushing and inspection of our fire hydrants

Please be advised from July 10th to July 28th 2023, we will proceed with the flushing and inspection of all our fire hydrants in the residential sector of the town.

This procedure is done annually to make sure our fire hydrants work properly and also to help clear sediments from the underground pipes. Flushing and inspection also help to ensure proper operating pressure for fighting fires.

After the flushing is complete, you may notice that your water is slightly red. This is normal and it is not dangerous. All you have to do is run your water until it is clear again.
