She started her zero-waste journey in 2018, and now her family's weekly trash fits in, you guessed it, a tiny trash can! Her tiny trash can motivate her to make sustainable choices every day, like buying less, avoiding plastic and reducing food waste. Added benefits: she's saving money, living healthier and lowering her environmental footprint in the process.
Her advice has been featured by CBC, Home in Canada, Toronto Star, Today Show, Real Simple and more. Her non-judgmental approach and sense of humour have won her thousands of followers around the world. She loves showing people how tiny trash can make a big difference. Conference | Trees: Essential Allies
During the conference, biologist and agronomist Micheline Lévesque explains how to choose, plant and maintain trees in urban areas.
Trees provide many benefits. Some are environmentally friendly (oxygen emissions and water control, etc.), others are good for health and comfort (absorption of pollutants, reduction of ambient heat, shade input, etc.) or for the portfolio (increased value of homes, savings in heating and cooling, etc.). Taking care of your trees means taking care of yourself.
Micheline Lévesque, speaker, consultant and author, demystifies the real needs of trees, introduces them to good practices and avoids them, and guides participants in caring for trees so that they can bring their full benefits.
After debunking the myths surrounding dangerous roots and trees, Micheline Lévesque shares her valuable advice:
- How to choose the trees that are best suited to the terrain?
- What are the techniques for easy and successful planting?
- How to keep trees healthy whether they are young or old?
- What are some tips for making trees safe?
- What are good practices for trees and those to avoid?
- How can you comply with best practices if cutting down the tree is the only solution?
Micheline Lévesque will be pleased to answer questions from the public.
