On Saturday, November 19, 2022, the Town invites you to a workshop to discuss the future Urban Plan for the Town of Baie-D'Urfé. This in-person brainstorming session will take place at the AVH School gymnasium, 216 Victoria Street, from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
During this workshop, participants will be asked to express their opinions on certain themes that will be discussed in different "round tables".
The objective of this meeting is to take the pulse of the population regarding the proposed content of the new Urban Plan, as well as the priority issues to be addressed in the plan.
Places will be limited and no reservation is required. A recording of the workshop will be available online afterwards.
What Is an Urban Plan?
The Urban Plan is a planning document that establishes guidelines for the spatial organization of the Town. Its contents include elements required by the Act respecting land use planning and development. The plan allows to:
- Define intervention policies;
- Define a medium/long-term vision;
- Promote the intentions behind the control to be established in the regulations;
- Plan the location of the different functions, infrastructures and equipment;
- Serve as a decision-making tool to orientate decision-making in terms of land use and development.
This workshop is the first of a series involving citizen participation and allowing their voices to be heard.
Dates and details of future meetings will be communicated through the Town's usual communication channels.
