Soundproofing Work at the Red Barn
Published on May 21, 2026
At the May 12, 2026 Council meeting, a contract was awarded to Déco-Acoustique to carry out soundproofing work at the Red Barn.
The purpose of the project is to improve the acoustic quality of the community hall by reducing reverberation and echoes that can affect user comfort and speech intelligibility during events and gatherings.
The Red Barn regularly hosts community, cultural, and private activities that can bring together more than one hundred people. These improvements will help provide a more comfortable environment better suited to the various uses of the facility.
The project includes an analysis of the current acoustic characteristics of the space, as well as the implementation of targeted solutions aimed at improving the overall user experience.
