Safe-exchange zone
Published on December 6, 2023
The Service de police de la Ville de Montréal (SPVM) informs us that Poste de Quartier 1, located at 2883 boul. Saint-Charles in Kirkland, now has a safe-exchange zone accessible 24/7. The zone is located in front of the station and is under camera surveillance.
Citizens are encouraged to use this zone for transactions initiated on an online platform dedicated to the buying and selling of goods. The aim of this zone is to ensure the safety of transactions by offering a supervised space, thus facilitating meetings between buyers and sellers.
To consult the complete list of safe-exchange zones implemented by the SPVM, as well as to learn more about preventive tips for online transactions, we invite you to visit the SPVM website.
