Resumption of Reconstruction Works on Highway 40 Pavement in Baie-D’Urfé and Kirkland

Published on April 24, 2024

The ministère des Transports et de la Mobilité durable announces that the reconstruction work on the concrete pavement of Highway 40 eastbound will resume on April 27, 2024.

To minimize disruptions to traffic, work requiring lane closures will primarily take place during nighttime hours. Road users should expect obstructions that will be coordinated with other construction projects in the region to reduce impacts.

Details of the obstructions:

Highway 40 West: Between Saint-Charles Boulevard and Morgan Boulevard, a long-term closure beginning Saturday at 8 a.m. and continuing until May 24. During this period, the shoulder and left lane will be closed, but the three lanes will remain accessible thanks to a detour onto the right shoulder.

Highway 40 East: Between Morgan Boulevard and Saint-Charles Boulevard, a similar closure from Friday, May 3 at 5 a.m. to June 6, also affecting the shoulder and left lane near Morgan and St-Charles avenues.
