Reminder – Septic Tank Emptying (West Sector)

Please be prepared for the 2026 emptying period beginning in mid-June. The company mandated by the Town this year is Services de Rebuts Soulanges. A notice will be sent by mail two weeks prior to the visit.

Last year, within the Town, it was observed that several septic tank access covers (lids) were buried or covered with other materials.

This resulted in signifcant delays in the execution of the work, as well as additional administrative fees.

Please note that access covers must be extended to ground level and must never be buried or covered with grass, paving stones, or other materials. Failure to comply may result in a notice of infraction issued by municipal inspectors, with fines ranging from $1,000 to $3,000, in accordance with the applicable by-law (Q2, r.22).

Please also note that inspections will take place between May and November this year; you will therefore receive a visit from inspectors.

Finally, if your septic tank cannot be emptied due to obstructed access covers, an additional fee of $22 will be applied for a second visit and will be billed directly to the property owner.
