Landscaping
Published on April 20, 2020
Following the government directive announced last week, the Town wishes to inform residents that landscaping contractors may resume their activities as of April 15.
No new requests for permits or certificates can be treated as long as the main activities of the Urban Planning Department are suspended. Only emergency work (posing a public danger) will be treated. In addition, the government directive also mentions that pool services are authorized.
The pruning and felling of trees is not allowed except for emergency work where public safety is a concern. To fell a tree, a permit must be obtained from the City.
We also remind you that companies offering residential maintenance services (e.g. gutters, chimney, window cleaning, etc.) are not authorized at this time.
Preventive measures and physical distancing established by CNESST will have to be put in place by contractors to protect employees and customers from any possible contamination with COVID-19. To report a hazardous situation or behaviour, please contact CNESST at 1 844 838-0808.
