Give Your Old Bikes a Second Life

The Town of Baie-D'Urfé is pleased to inform residents about a new initiative for the collection and recycling of old bicycles. In collaboration with the City of Montreal and Atelier Vélo Re-Cycle, we are encouraging the responsible disposal and reconditioning of used bicycles, giving them a second life instead of sending them to the landfill.

How to Dispose of Your Old Bikes
Residents can drop off their old bicycles, regardless of their condition, at Public Works during opening hours.

Public Works Drop-off Hours:

  • Monday to Thursday: 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
  • Friday: 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM

Alternative Disposal Option

For those who prefer not to drop off their bicycles at Public Works, you can simply place your old bikes out along with your bulky items on collection day. To view our collection calendar, click here. 

Our team will collect these bikes as part of this program, ensuring they are sent to Atelier Vélo Re-Cycle for reconditioning instead of being compacted and sent to the landfill.
