Fire Hydrant Inspection and Water Main Flushing

Please be advised that as of May 20, 2025, HELIOS Group, mandated by the Town of Baie-D’Urfé, will begin fire hydrant inspections and water main flushing in the residential area.

The work is expected to last for approximately three weeks.

This annual procedure ensures the proper functioning of our fire hydrants and helps clear sediment from underground pipes. Flushing and inspection also help maintain adequate water pressure for firefighting.

After the flushing process, you may notice slightly reddish water. This is normal and not dangerous. Simply run your tap until the water runs clear.
