The Town of Baie-D'Urfé invites you to an exciting and dynamic conference series presented by Jour de la Terre:

  • October 19, at 6:30 p.m. - I adopt an eco-friendly lifestyle.
  • November 16, at 18:30 - I am eating sustainably.
  • December 14, at 6:30 PM - I love my garbage can, but I'm leaving it.

On the agenda: 1 hour to learn more about ecological issues, solutions and tools to take easy and concrete actions on a daily basis.

Participate from your home! All our conferences are presented in a virtual way.

ABOUT JOUR DE LA TERRE - Jour de la Terre is a charitable organization whose mission is to help individuals and organizations reduce their impact on the environment. In addition to coordinating the celebration of Earth Day in Quebec and Canada, the organization carries out a series of actions on a daily basis to accomplish its mission. Jour de la Terre is a celebration through action, every day!

DESCRIPTION - Do you think there is nothing you can do on an individual level about the environment? This is not the case! Whether it's in our food, our housing, when we travel or our consumption, each of our choices is an opportunity to act.

This workshop offers economic and ecological tools and tips to take back the power over our daily footprint.

November 16 - I’m eating sustainably conference

From the farm to our tables, the way we eat has a major impact on our health and the planet. People are often unaware of the consequences of the way they eat or don’t know where to start to make an effort. But don’t worry! This conference provides an introduction to sustainable eating and offers concrete solutions to help everyone make more informed choices.

This conference offers concrete solutions that help us make more informed decisions about sustainable eating. After all, eating is voting! Being informed and equipped is also doing your part for the planet.

December 14 - I love my garbage can, but I'm leaving it

DESCRIPTION - What happens to our garbage once it is thrown in the bin? What role do recycling and composting play in the fight against climate change? How can we reduce the size of our garbage and reduce our daily impact?

This conference offers an introduction to these issues while demystifying our system of sorting and recovery of waste materials. Concrete solutions, fun and accessible to all, will be proposed, with tools to take action.
