Call on the population to avoid going to the Emergency at Lakeshore General Hospital
Published on December 7, 2020
The Montréal West Island IUHSSC is asking the population to avoid the Emergency Department at the Lakeshore General Hospital for the next few days. The Emergency is extremely busy and is at full capacity.
Furthermore, the hospital, which is designated to treat positive cases of COVID-19, is currently experiencing outbreaks on some of its care units, making patient flow more challenging. Though the outbreaks are under control, measures must be taken to relieve the pressure on both the Emergency Department and the clinical teams.
