Awarding of Contracts for Bus Stop Development in the Industrial Sector

At the April 14, 2026 Council meeting, two contracts were awarded as part of the bus stop development project in the industrial sector.

A first contract was awarded to 9378-6549 Québec Inc. (EDJ) for the construction work, which includes the installation of 17 new concrete slab bus stops.

A second contract was awarded to Laboratoire GS Inc. to ensure quality control of materials, soil traceability, and environmental monitoring during the work.

This project is part of the overhaul of the West Island public transit network in preparation for the opening of the Anse-à-l’Orme REM station. The new bus line 223, which will replace former bus line 219, will operate a loop route between this station and the industrial sector.

These improvements will enhance access to public transit, provide safer infrastructure for users, and better serve workers in the industrial sector.

The work is expected to take place over a period of approximately seven weeks between May and July 2026. Occasional traffic disruptions are expected.
