After the Storm: Support Measures for Baie-D’Urfé Residents

Following the recent record rainfall that hit our region, several homes in Baie-D’Urfé were unfortunately flooded. We understand that this is a very challenging time for everyone, and we are committed to supporting each of you.

Special Pickup of Damaged Items
Fortunately, our bulky items pickup service started on Monday, and combined with today’s regular garbage collection, most of the items removed from flooded basements will be picked up. However, we understand that some residents may not be able to get all their items out in time for these collections. For this reason, we are offering a special pickup service specifically for items damaged by the flooding.

This special pickup service will operate in the same way as our usual pickup service, but we will waive the fees provided it is clearly for items damaged by the flooding.

How to Take Advantage of this Service?  
Residents need to contact Public Works by phone at 514-457-2877 or by email and mention that they would like to use the special pickup service. They will then receive instructions on how to place items at the roadside for pickup. The accepted materials will be the same as those for bulky items or regular special pickups, with a few important points to note:

  • No tires or hazardous materials (paint, chemicals, etc.)
  • No carpets or upholstered furniture (these should be placed out with the regular garbage collection).
