- Acoustic Study for Future Pickleball Courts
Acoustic Study for Future Pickleball Courts
Published on May 21, 2026
A contract was awarded to Atelier 7Hz at the May 12, 2026 Council meeting to carry out an acoustic study prior to the construction of new pickleball courts.
The purpose of the study is to assess the potential noise impacts of the future courts on neighbouring properties and identify solutions to help limit the sound generated by the practice of the sport.
The mandate will notably include on-site sound measurements, an analysis of existing conditions, modelling of projected noise levels, as well as the development of recommendations and mitigation measures adapted to the area. The objective is to ensure the harmonious integration of the future facilities within the surrounding neighbourhood while taking residents’ quality of life into consideration.
This process reflects the Town’s commitment to advancing the project by relying on technical data and specialized recommendations.
