- A few reminders about your septic system
A few reminders about your septic system
Published on November 6, 2023
The 2023 pump-out season is over! We would like to thank all residents of the EASTERN sector of the town for their cooperation. The next emptying season or the EASTERN sector will take place in 2025.
We remind you that your septic tank is designed to receive only domestic wastewater such as excrement, toilet paper, dishwashing water, clothes and bathroom water.
If your septic tank is contaminated with prohibited materials, we won’t be able to pump it out, and you’ll be responsible for the cost of decontamination. Once again this year, we're finding prohibited items in some septic tanks: condoms, tampons, sanitary napkins, hair elastics, wipes, cotton pads, cotton buds and so on. All these elements can significantly affect the proper operation of your septic system and lead to breakdown of the pumping equipment.
Proper use of your septic system is the key to its smooth operation!
