- Conference: Eco-Friendly Gardening
Conference: Eco-Friendly Gardening
Thursday, October 15, 2026 from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
Fritz Community Centre - Free
Presented by Albert Mondor
Given the current ecological situation, the challenges caused by the industrialization of agriculture, and the pandemic we experienced, many people feel the need to reconnect with the essence of food by growing their own vegetables using organic gardening techniques.
The same applies to those who wish to maintain their lawns and gardens without compromising their own health or that of their families.
During this conference, you will learn how to make and use compost—the gardener’s true “black gold”—how to use beneficial microorganisms to improve plant growth and development, and how to attract pollinators and beneficial insects. You will also learn how to manage plant diseases and pest infestations without using pesticides, so you can grow the most beautiful vegetables and roses possible!
For those living near a lake, special attention will also be given to the importance and management of shoreline buffer strips.
