Taxation

 

Property taxes provide the Town with the majority of the funds required to offer everyday services and programs. The annual tax bill is usually sent to property owners (registered on the assessment role) during the month of January.

Baie-D’Urfé’s tax rate is among the lowest on the Island of Montreal.

Residential immoveables
$0.7481 per $100 of the value on the assessment roll
Non residential immoveables
$3.2791 per $100 of the value on the assessment roll
Immoveables of six or more
$0.7481 per $100 of the value on the assessment roll
Vacant lots
$1.4962 per $100 of the value on the assessment roll

The water tax is $83 for a maximum consumption of 50,000 gallons. Excess water will be invoiced at $3.35/1,000 gallons used.

Should a taxpayer not receive his tax bill, he must take the initiative of contacting the Town to obtain it.

The tax bill can be paid in two equal instalments. The corresponding detachable stub must simply be attached to each payment.
